The Schübler Chorales (German: Schübler-Choräle) is a set of chorale preludes composed by Johann Sebastian Bach; the first one of them, "Wachet auf, ruft uns Stimme" ('Awake, calls the voice to us'), is transcribed from the religious cantata with the same name (Wachet auf, ruft uns die Stimme, BWV 140, 4th movement, composed in Leipzig for the 27th Sunday after Trinity and first performed it on 25 November 1731).
